Scotch College: Great Scot: Hockey field renovations

Hockey field renovations

The Montgomery Hockey/Tennis arena has been extended by eight metres to the south and two metres to the east, to enable the previous six tennis court configuration to become twelve, and for the hockey arena to be set out to full international standards.

A whole new surface is being applied, with a shock pad underlay. This provides for the development of greater hockey skills and protects against shin soreness and knee injuries. In addition, a small pavilion is being built which will provide spectator viewing, storage of the various nets and tennis equipment.

The whole complex was completed early in December.
