Preps big day

Imagine the 25th of January 2002, the week before Term One began. Forty-eight, four, five and six year olds, were preparing for the beginning of their life long education. The excitement of using their new pencils, textas and workbooks could not be contained.

By the time school began, many of the children had attempted a number of dress rehearsals in preparation for their first day at Scotch.

The big day finally arrived and although it was all very large and new, the boys came in full of life, ready to tackle the school year.

The day involved a school tour, exploring fun activities within the Prep Unit, and an opportunity for all the boys to find out more about their teachers and their new friends.

There was even time for Georgio Giannellis and Richard Goodey, to phone home and tell mum and dad all about their exciting day.

Now, one week into school, Miss Lord, Miss Harvey, and all the boys have settled in well to Scotch life.

We look forward to a year full of hard work and happiness.

We believe that observing the process of the Prep children throughout the year is both satisfying and rewarding.
Each little stepping-stone along the way, is one closer, to further confidence and independence.

2002 Junior School Leaders chosen

A the end of 2001 the staff at the Junior School had to sit down and seriously think about the school leaders for the coming year.
Which people were going to be House Captains? Who would be Sports Captain, Music Captain and School Captain? The boys selected are happy with their positions, as you can tell from the photo. However, if they had the choice they would choose a higher place. The House Captains were hard at work as soon as the term began, organising and taking house assemblies and luncheons, The School Captains have been taking Chapel, with two of them also taking S.R.C. Life is going on and I think the school leaders are happy with their life.
