Koomerang Ski Club

Bring on the winter

Words: Mr Peter Cass ('76) – Membership Communications, Koomerang Ski Club

Things have been a little quiet on the building front at Koomerang with the deferral of the new Mt Hotham lodge. However, summer bookings were strong and we are looking forward to a big winter season.

The club is now offering discounts for bookings of five or seven days, so this will make skiing locally more affordable for members and their guests.

While the Hotham project has been deferred, the Committee has been very busy over the summer months sorting out leasing issues with the Mt. Hotham Resort Management Board. There has been little building activity at Mt Hotham in recent times and this may be because of the multitude of conditions imposed on lease-holders.But the conditions are not scaring off Koomerang, and the Committee is confident that we will have a new 16 bed lodge at Mt Hotham soon.

Koomerang is actively recruiting new members at the club. Membership is open to all Old Boys and their immediate families. If you would like further information on this vibrant club, please visit our website: www.koomerang.com.au
