Year Five boys enhance their knowledge and build skills and attitudes that allow them to display a resilient approach towards learning and social behaviour. In developing positive work habits the boys follow directions, work independently, improve their organisation and consolidate their ability to concentrate. They are expected to relate well to peers and adults, work and play cooperatively with others, and display courtesy and initiative. During the course of the year, they consider the rights, beliefs and needs of others, develop an understanding and appreciation of self, demonstrate confidence and competence with interpersonal relationships and manage themselves in a variety of situations.
