At the Alliance Francais competition for French oral and written work, Scotch boys achieved success including:

1st prize in Year 8 Oral competition

1st prize in Year 9 Oral competition

1st prize in Year 10 Written competition (and 2nd prize to a boy who was also awarded best overall candidate in Year 10)

1st prize in Year 11 Written competition

2nd prize in Year 11 Oral competition

1st prize in Year 12 Written competition (to a boy who was also awarded best overall candidate in Year 12).
