Class of 2019 farewell

2019 End of Yr 12

Year 12 boys celebrated finishing school, gathering on the main oval following the traditional Torch Ceremony in the Memorial Hall.

The 2019 Presentation Night included an address by the guest of honour, Mrs Emily Driscoll, who has been successful as a founder of the renewable energy company Off-Grid. She spoke about her career path, starting as a performing arts student and how various situations led to her current position.

All boys were presented with a Bible, a book of poetry and their year book.

The 2019 Perelberg Award went to Hudson Levine, who has exemplified Scotch spirit through upholding his values and beliefs as well as supporting others. Hudson is proud of his Jewish heritage and is actively engaged in the Chabad House of Malvern where he has given of his time during key festivals throughout the year. Realising sport is an important vehicle around which social cohesion and harmony can be built, Hudson, through his strong connection with the Ajax Football club, was a participant in the recent Jolson/Houli Unity cup match which saw two teams from the Jewish and Muslim communities play a game of AFL at the MCG with the aim of celebrating peace.
