Autumn Concerts include Berlioz & Greig

The Symphony Orchestra performed two movements from Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique, alongside Strauss and Milhaud, while the Symphonic Wind Band, Stage Band and Show Band included Mackey, Bonfa and Goodwin in their selection on the first evening of the three Autumn Concerts. The Dreyfus Band played a rhythmic Sheldon before the Academy String Orchestra transported the audience with Two Nordic Melodies. The setting of Psalm 23, made famous with "The Vicar of Dibley" was sung by the College Choir, followed by Gershwin's Fascinating Rhythm. A moving Irish shanty sung by the Chamber Choir rounded out the second evening's concert. The final concert included performances by the Henri Touzeau String Orchestra, Intermediate Orchestra, Ted Joyner Band, Intermediate Concert Band, Callantina Swing Band and Morrison Street Big Band. The concert also included the Cambiata choir singing a spiritual and a folk song.
