Displacement Feature

In a week where Year 11 were involved in Immersion projects which took some to Cambodia to build houses, others helping serve food to the homeless and another group spending time in an indigenous community in South Australia, the drama boys told the stories of refugees and homeless young people in a play titled 'Displacement'. The emotional tales of people who had come to Melbourne, overcoming challenges and coping with difficulties, was threaded through the setting of Spencer Street Station. Highlighting the difficulties of entering Australia as a refugee, and keeping safe, the play ended with hope and the thought that maybe we can all be human again.
